Determined to Win!

I shared a story about how as a child, I had an allergic reaction to medication and was lame for several months. I could not walk. I was out of school for months, completely bed ridden. It was a trying time. Eventually I felt stronger and went back to school, only to be forced back on bed rest (due to a reoccurrence). Yet I pressed on. Eventually, I was able to go back to school in good health. By the grace of Almighty God!

No matter your setback, a setback is a setup for a comeback! I once interviewed an armless woman who defied the odds and became the first armless woman pilot in history! In Christ, you are "more than a conqueror" (Romans 8:37). We then studied the life of David at Ziklag in I Samuel 30:1-8; 18-19. In the face of David's worst defeat, when his own men wanted to stone him, he sought the face of the Lord and asked God for direction. God told him to "Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them" (I Samuel 30:8). You need to pray and ask God for direction when you are going through a difficulty and then have a determination to win...no matter what it looks like!
