Be Not Weary in Well Doing!

Does it feel like every time you take two steps forward, you take one step back? Do you feel like you are on the hamster wheel of life, going nowhere? You know that God has spoken promises over your life, but you simply do not see them coming to pass? I want to encourage you to stand on God's promises. It is precisely due to the fact that God has a purpose and plan for your like is the reason that the enemy has been on the attack. Stand your ground! Trust that God is your defense! No matter the circumstances, declare God's Word over your life!

I went through an unexpected setback last week that kind of threw me for a loop. Someone stole the keys and my car! I had an AMAZING peace that passes all understanding, however. I prayed that God would return my car within 48 hours. It was a challenging couple of days. Yet I continued to DECLARE God's Word over my life and situation. In the meantime, I found a bent metal hanger in the driveway. Apparently they had come back to try and steal our other car as well. But God! The car was stolen on Wednesday. I was at work on Friday (48 hours) that the police had located my car and that I could go and pick it up. Praise God! "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord lifts up a standard." The driver side window of my car had not been working. When I got the car back, low and behold, the window was working! Only God! Only a loving, merciful God would have car thieves actually FIX my window for me!!! Praise God! Truly "everything works for the good of those that love the Lord and called according to His purpose." So no matter what it looks like, TRUST God who can do all things but fail! Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings of eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint." Will you trust God?
