Do You Want POWER with God?

It is imperative that we have a solid foundation concerning Biblical principles of prayer. Why did David have so much favor with God? He was a worshipper and he was also quick to repent! Repentance is a fundamental component of prayer, yet I talk with people everyday who simply do not take the time to repent. Sin separates us from God. When Jesus took on the sins of the world, He said "Father, why hath thou forsaken me?" Jesus is God Himself but there was a separation with between Jesus and the Father due to sin. How many of us have felt forsaken by God? How many of us have felt at times that that God does not hear us? Unsure if God cares about us? How often have we felt unclear on how to get direction from God? What about feeling rejected by God? All of those are lies from the enemy! However, there are spiritual principles in operation that cannot be violated.

God wants to walk with you, talk with you, coddle you, have intimate relationship with you. However a Holy God cannot simply overlook sin. Otherwise Jesus would not have had to come and die on the Cross for our sin. The Bible says that "There is none righteous, not one." Isaiah 59:2 says "But your iniquities have built a barrier between you and God and your sins have hidden His face from you , so that H does not hear." The more you spend time in repentance, the more intimate your relationship will grow with the Lord and the better you will be able to discern the still small voice of the Lord. In this new year 2021, will you purpose in your heart to press into God to be everything that God has called you to be?
