Overcoming Rejection and Isolation

Updated: Jun 23, 2020

Overcoming rejection and isolation can seem like a daunting undertaking! Rejection and isolation go hand in hand. Once one has experienced ongoing rejection, a self defense strategy is to self isolate. Self isolation becomes like a cocoon to protect one from hurt. However, it also acts like a shell that keeps others (even good people) out.

While self isolation can be beneficial in the short term at times to allow time for one to heal, if it becomes a way of life, it prevents the much needed social interaction that allows you to fully develop into everything that God created you to be! Press into God and allow Him to heal your hurt.

As a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, the key to healing from rejection is to read God's Word . Utilize daily declarations and affirmations found in the Word to redefine who you are in Christ. For example, the Bible says that "I am more than a conqueror" or "I am an ambassador for Christ." The Bible says that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." In other words, your Spirit man needs to hear God's Word declared over your life in order to internalize it and to believe it. Reading daily affirmations will help you to begin to walk in the revelation of who you are as a child of the One and True Living God. Begin to make it a daily routine and watch God heal the deep seeded hurts that you have struggled so long to overcome. Obey God and watch God change your life!
