There is a Blessing in Blessing Our Enemies

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

God rewards obedience. One of the hardest spiritual lessons I ever had to learn was to bless my enemies. The flesh and the Spirit war against each other. Your mind will come up with every conceivable reason NOT to bless your enemies. Generally, most people judge the other person and justify their disobedience by rationalizing that the other person is in the wrong. However, the Bible says to "Judge not, lest ye be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged" (Matthew 7:1-3).

I believe that God commands us to love and pray for our enemies to safeguard our heart. God is love. Anything less puts us in bondage to the enemy. God wants us to have a clean heart. When you take the extra step to obey God and pray blessings over your enemies, that gets God's attention. You are honoring God through your obedience and God will honor you in return. I am a living testimony that there is a blessing in obedience. Have you prayed for your enemies today?
