There's A Ram in the Bush!

For Abraham, things looked bleak when God required him to sacrifice Isaac as an act of obedience. Isaac represented the Promise! Abraham waited a lifetime to have an heir. More than that, God told Abraham "...Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be" (Genesis 15:5). The Promise made concerning Isaac was unfathomable! It was enormous! How many of us have immense promises from God, yet our situation looks dead?

Perhaps you have tried everything that you know to do (like Abraham and Sarah), but nothing seems to be working...but you KNOW what God promised! Many of us have begun to question God - to question the promises. Abraham and Sarah did too! However, I want to caution you not to give birth to Ishmael's. Do not try to make the promises come to pass in your own strength. Press forward and trust God, no matter what it looks like. Hold your head up, stick your chest out, and believe God! What you're going through is just a test! Believe God that no matter what it looks like, God's got a ram in the bush. Is your heart right before God?
